Getting Started
How do I get started with Deckeris?
Visit our Contact page and email estimates@deckeris.com about the project you’re considering. We’ll review the initial information and discuss possible next steps based on the work involved.
What information should I provide about my project?
The more detail you can provide, the better we can understand the work involved.
When contacting Deckeris, include the project location, a description of the work, approximate measurements, photos, and your preferred timeline.
If available, include drawings, sketches, material preferences, existing conditions, access limitations, and an approximate budget.
Not every measurement applies to every project. If you’re unsure what information is needed, we can help determine the next steps.
- Length, width, height, and ceiling height
- Square footage and linear footage
- Number of rooms, fixtures, doors, or windows involved
Can Deckeris visit my property to evaluate a project?
Yes. Depending on the project and location, we may arrange an on-site construction assessment to review existing conditions, take measurements, discuss the proposed work, and identify factors that could affect scope, materials, labor, or cost.
Detailed assessments, site visits, and written project evaluations may involve a professional service fee, travel expenses, or both.
Any applicable charges and the scope of the assessment will be discussed and agreed upon before the visit is scheduled.
Does contacting Deckeris guarantee that my project will be accepted?
No. Availability depends on scope, location, scheduling, qualifications, authorization, and other applicable requirements.
Services & Project Scope
What types of projects does Deckeris handle?
Deckeris handles a range of residential and commercial construction projects, including renovations, remodeling, interior and exterior improvements, cabinetry, finish carpentry, flooring, tile, drywall, painting, fencing, siding, windows, doors, and property repairs.
We also consider selected new-construction projects, additions, garages, outbuildings, pole barns, and barndominiums.
Other capabilities include custom storage solutions, built-ins, space organization, and smaller fixture-related improvements.
Minor electrical and plumbing-related work may be considered where the scope and applicable requirements permit. Larger or specialized projects are evaluated individually based on project requirements, available resources, and necessary qualifications.
Does Deckeris work on commercial properties?
Yes. Deckeris considers commercial renovation and interior improvement projects based on scope, building requirements, and scheduling.
Can I contact Deckeris about smaller repairs?
Yes. Deckeris considers smaller projects such as fixture replacements, trim repairs, cabinet repairs, fencing improvements, and other practical property-maintenance work.
Certain electrical and plumbing-related tasks may also be considered, subject to project scope and applicable licensing or permit requirements.
Are there construction services Deckeris does not provide?
Yes. Deckeris does not currently offer roofing installation or major demolition services.
We also do not advertise unrestricted electrical or plumbing contracting. Those requests are evaluated according to the work involved and applicable trade requirements.
If a project falls outside our current scope, we’ll communicate that clearly rather than promise work we are not positioned to perform.
Does Deckeris handle every type of construction?
No. Deckeris focuses on selected renovation, remodeling, construction, finishing, and improvement services. Other opportunities are evaluated individually.
Project Planning
Where is Deckeris based?
Deckeris is based in the Springfield–Willard, Missouri area and primarily serves clients throughout the surrounding communities.
Projects outside our immediate service area, including select opportunities in other states, may also be considered depending on scope, scheduling, travel requirements, and the ability to meet applicable local requirements.
Will Deckeris consider projects outside the local area or out of state?
Yes. Deckeris may consider projects beyond the Springfield–Willard area, including out-of-state opportunities, when the project scope and logistics make practical sense.
Considerations include travel distance, scheduling, project duration, available personnel, local coordination, and applicable licensing, insurance, and permit requirements.
Projects requiring travel may include transportation, lodging, meals, per diem, mobilization, and other necessary expenses. Applicable costs will be discussed and documented before work is authorized.
How does Deckeris evaluate a project?
We begin with the customer’s goals and general scope. Further evaluation may include site conditions, materials, timing, access, coordination, and requirements relevant to the proposal.
Estimates & Scheduling
Are project estimates or site evaluations free?
An initial project discussion does not automatically require a paid assessment.
For projects requiring substantial measurements, site investigation, material research, detailed scope development, or a written evaluation, Deckeris may charge for the time and expertise involved.
Assessment fees may include professional time, travel, measurements, documentation, and preparation of written findings or estimates.
Fees, deliverables, and payment terms are confirmed before billable work begins. Customers are not obligated to hire Deckeris for the resulting construction project.
How are project estimates handled?
Project estimates are developed around the actual scope of work rather than a single price-per-square-foot assumption.
Depending on the project, we evaluate material quantities and selections, site conditions, labor requirements, estimated man-hours, crew size, equipment, subcontractor needs, scheduling, and project logistics.
Travel, delivery, disposal, permit-related requirements, and other applicable costs may also affect the estimate. Additional measurements or an on-site assessment may be necessary before a detailed proposal can be prepared.
Our goal is to provide a practical, well-supported estimate based on the information available.
An estimate is not a service agreement or guarantee. Final scope, pricing, scheduling, and applicable terms are confirmed separately.
Can Deckeris guarantee a completion date?
We establish project schedules using realistic expectations based on the scope of work, labor availability, material lead times, site conditions, and required coordination.
Weather, inspections, unexpected conditions, and changes to the original scope can also affect completion dates.
We communicate scheduling expectations as clearly as possible and address changes as they arise. We prefer realistic schedules over impressive guesses.
What happens if the project scope changes?
Changes should be discussed and evaluated so their effects on scope, cost, and scheduling can be understood before proceeding.
